Jarretts have recently moved us from our large 4 bed det near Norwich to a smaller bungalow, and we have nothing but the highest praise for them. Despite careful planning, the run up to completion was chaotic with changing dates and locations, but they handled everything with aplomb, and you always get the feeling, in a good old fashioned way, of being the customer, with your needs coming first. Having bought my first house some 23 years ago in Norwich I felt it appropriate to support local! Given our circumstances & a big shift in the market decades later the team didn't let us down. They were concise & reliable on the day of house move number 1. Thankfully the house I was moving to the Jarretts team had visited before. They also served me for house move number 3 in west Norfolk bringing all my offspring together there in the one house in Norwich. We had a extremely long drawn out, complicated sale, with so many stops & starts. But all through, Jarretts were amazing.
We sold our house in Norfolk & had them moved us to Lancashire. They made what had been a most stressful experience so much better, nothing was too much trouble, even when we had to arrange at short notice for them to store all our belongings.
They brought human kindness & empathy, as well as a very professional service. ( I wish the same could have been said about our solicitors!!)
The crew who came with the lorries were brilliant. They work so hard & treated our possessions with respect. Quick to help with the odd item I didn't know how best to pack.
We felt the costs were competitive, but customer service is way above their competitors.

I was recommended by many people that Jarrett's are a good company and were very good.
I contacted them they came round gave me a quote which was a little high but for convenience and no hassle i went for this removal firm.
On the day my new fridge freezer got well and truly damaged. My new corner sofa got damaged and dropped and left a hole on the corner. My wardrobe door was broken in half.
And the drama about getting this sorted out took so long. I had to prove my purchase of everything that got damaged. And after working so hard for 7 days a week for 9 months solid didn't pay off as it got trashed in a day of being moved by unprofessional men from this firm.
I had to ring up a lot, the insurance guy got the wrong information. So that was another set back. Everything was so dramatic and getting the compensation for the damage they had caused to my property.
I would seriously think about getting moved by this firm. Unfortunately on the day they sent a unfit guy who couldn't lift nothing to heavy as he was out of breath after walking 3 meters. The other guy was heavy handed. And was extremely reckless and unprofessional with the sack barrel and other items of mine got trashed in an instant.
You wouldn't expect this kind of drama from a well known establishment which has been running before i was born.

Just had Jarretts do a house removal for me, with packing service the day before. Packing was speedy, organised and very efficient and the guys listened to me and labelled accordingly. Removal day went without a hitch and again, the team worked very efficiently and quickly, while not rushing me in placing pieces. Following an unfortunate incident where our house was flooded. We used Jarrett's for removal, storage and return delivery. They were easy to do business with, friendly and helpful. On each occasion they came on time, with at least Four guys and enough transport to get the job done efficiently. When they returned our belongings, they put everything where we wanted and even helped with other items that were not on the vans. I would recommend this company to all.

Words can’t express my gratitude to the whole team! My move was not straightforward as the exchange of contracts kept getting delayed so I was unable to confirm dates, but Duncan and the team were so understanding and did everything to try and keep an opening for me. When the move did happen, just before Christmas, all of the chaps were friendly, reassuring, kind and professional. They loaded up the vans seamlessly and without complaint (I’m sure there were a few things I didn’t box very well!). They were delayed at the other end as my new home hadn’t been vacated on time and they patiently waited until they could get full access. They worked so hard and helped me enormously, I really can’t thank them enough. They certainly earned their money that day!!

My wife and I realised that we were up against it with the packing and Duncan 'pulled out the stops' and allocated extra guys for the load phase of the move which made all the difference to our stress levels. Jarretts are a well known local company and the first removal one we contacted. We were so impressed with the service offer and price we didn't try anywhere else.
On the day the team were brilliant. They arrived on time and got straight to work. They were professional but amiable and very efficient. They made what could have a been a difficult day, very easy. We were packed up by 12 o'clock and unpacked quickly in our new home giving us plenty of time to settle in.

How far in advance should I book my removal?

Do you provide packing materials and services?

Are there extra charges for parking?
Fuel and congestion charges are included in fixed quotes. Parking permits are your responsibility if required, but we’ll advise on these during planning to keep costs transparent.
On the Moving Day
What happens if it rains on moving day?
We carry covers and blankets for all furniture. Priority loading of essentials keep things dry and we also carry walk matts to protect flooring.
How do you handle fragile or valuable items?
Every item is blanketed, strapped and packed professionally.
Can I dismantle my own furniture?
Yes, label parts clearly and keep fixings together. Our team can also disassemble/assemble beds, wardrobes etc. for a small fee if you prefer hands-off service.
Storage and Aftercare
What are your storage options?
We offer secure, clean warehouse storage in Norwich with short or long-term flexibility. We also offer container storage to keep your goods separate and accessible, ideal for Norfolk home renovations or overseas assignments.
What if I need to add or remove items after quoting?
No problem – we’ll adjust the quote promptly. Changes before the move ensure accurate pricing; post-move tweaks are handled via invoice amendments.
