The BAR continues to liaise closely with the respective Governments of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to update the guidelines for moving home in accordance with the relaxation of restrictions as the UK moves out of lockdown.
Although existing restrictions are being eased /removed altogether, and in light of a rising trend in the rate of infection, we again stress the importance of all parties in the move chain process continuing to take steps to minimise the risk of spreading the virus. As before, your chosen BAR Member company will describe to you in detail how they plan to undertake your move in a way that is as COVID secure as possible.
Throughout the pandemic, the professional Organisations and Associations that make up the home moving market, including the BAR, have been in direct contact with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), the Home Moves in Scotland Working Group, the Home Moves in Wales Stakeholder Group and the Devolved authorities in Northern Ireland, to design, implement and maintain a joined up approach to safe working practices across the home moving market.
